The Destination Africa Process
We do not fit clients into itineraries. We build itineraries around clients. Here is exactly how that works.
Most travel agents ask where you want to go. We ask something different. Who you are, what moves you, and what you want to feel when you return.
That distinction is the difference between a booking and a journey. Our process is designed to understand you deeply enough to design something that feels genuinely personal, because it is.
Destination Africa takes on a deliberately limited number of clients, which means you are never a number in a queue. You are the focus of our complete attention from the very first conversation.
Begin Your Journey →
A conversation by phone, WhatsApp, or email, where we listen far more than we speak. We want to understand your travel history, what excites you, what you want to feel, and the budget you are working with. No forms. No pressure. Just a genuine conversation.
Using years of first-hand knowledge, we design a bespoke itinerary from scratch. Not a template with your name on it. A genuine, considered proposal built around you, drawing on direct relationships with lodges and operators that never appear on any booking platform.
We review the proposal together and adjust anything that does not feel exactly right. Upgrade a lodge. Add a night. Change a destination. This stage exists because your journey should be perfect before anything is confirmed, not after.
Every booking confirmed, every transfer arranged, every detail documented. You receive a full pre-departure briefing, emergency contact details, and the complete confidence of knowing someone who genuinely knows Africa is in your corner from departure to return.
Every client receives the same level of care, regardless of budget or destination.
You speak directly to the same person throughout. The same person who knows your preferences is the same person who makes every booking and answers every question.
Every enquiry is answered within 24 hours. And if anything urgent arises during your trip, you will have dedicated emergency contact details included in your travel documents.
Before you depart, you receive a comprehensive travel pack. Confirmed bookings, transfer details, vouchers, health briefing, packing guidance, and emergency procedures. Nothing left to chance.
If a lodge is not right for you, we will say so. If a destination suits your requirements better than the one you asked about, we will explain why. Our reputation is built on genuine expertise, not commission.
Every booking is fully protected via our ABTA bonding through Hays Travel. Your money is safeguarded and you travel with complete confidence that your investment is secure.
Our service comes at no additional cost to you. We source authentic African experiences and negotiate the best available rates, with added benefits included wherever possible. What you see is what you pay.
Your booking is backed by ABTA's full code of conduct and dispute resolution scheme via Hays Travel, ABTA K9413.
All payments are processed securely through protected payment links. Your financial details are always safeguarded.
Your personal details are never shared with third parties or used for marketing without your explicit consent.
Every client receives a full pre-departure health and safety briefing aligned with current FCDO travel guidance.
No. There is no fee for using Destination Africa. You receive tailored guidance, curated itineraries, and access to exceptional safaris at no additional cost.
Depending on the complexity of your arrangements, your bespoke itinerary is usually prepared within 2 to 5 working days, and up to 10 for more detailed journeys. We take the time to design something exceptional rather than rush something ordinary.
That is exactly what the proposal stage is for. Nothing is confirmed or paid until you are completely happy. We can revise the routing, change lodges, adjust the duration, or rethink the destination entirely. This is your journey.
Yes, absolutely. Evacuation from a remote safari location can be extremely costly, often reaching tens of thousands of pounds. Once your safari is confirmed, we will provide a comprehensive travel insurance quotation and can arrange your cover within 24 hours. We can also source quotations for additional enhancements including airport lounges, parking, and excursions.
Tuesday to Friday, 11:30am to 6:00pm. All enquiries received outside these hours will be responded to on the next working day. Emergency contact details are provided to every client prior to travel.

Destination Africa oversees every aspect of your journey: international and internal flights, airport transfers, lodge reservations, charter flights, activity arrangements, airport parking and lounge access, travel insurance, FCDO travel guidance, and all essential travel documentation.
